This story is long, traumatic, and truly blessed.

So those that don't know I have multiple medical problems. I have Hashimotos disease (hypothroidism), and chronic hypertension (high blood pressure) along with my multiple aches and pains from everything I have put my body through.
So with Kadi's pregnancy I had issues with my blood pressure from about 20 weeks on...thats why they induced me a week early. This pregnancy had been going better, semi normal blood pressures through out the pregnancy. I am taking 2 different blood pressure medications now so that helped.
As my due date neared I was getting more uncomfortable, more moody, and the blood pressures started to rise. I was trying my luck with a v-bac this time around and just hoping my doc saw eye to eye with my desires. Since my blood pressure was getting higher she was getting doubtful that it would happen. She had given me a no later than date. This meant that she was going to schedule a c-section on the 27th of May and if I went into labor before then great but if I hadn't then the surgery would happen. We were determined that we would try anything and everything that can cause labor and mom would be here in time to watch Kadi and help us in anyway.
Well because I was starting to have high blood pressure I was going in for Non-stress tests (NST's). I would go in twice a week to sit and be monitored. I had made it to a few appointments with nothing to report. So on the 20th of May I was trying to decide if I was going to go to my NST appt the next day because I didn't have somewhere for Kadi to go.
Well out of no where a friend from the barn offered to watch Kadi since she didn't need to report to work until 2p...the appt was in the morning. So I was set, I was able to go in early and relaxed. I had felt pretty good that week, better than I had in a while, so I was pretty sure it would go well. Boy was I WRONG!!!
As she took my blood pressure one look at the nurses face and I knew it wasn't good. She left the room to get another cuff convinced she had read it wrong...nope she hadn't it really was 184/122!!!! So to the hospital I was headed!!!
I immediately called Travis...I have his clinic number now but didn't then. He would leave the clinic as soon as he could. I headed home, trying to stay calm, to back and make sure Kadi had somewhere to go. My friend Angela met me in the drive way and kept Kadi busy as Trav and I packed and got in the car. I'm not sure Kadi really knew what was going on.
So as we pulled up to the hospital we knew they would do TONS of blood work to make sure I was still doing ok and we would get set up in our room. Surprisingly we were really at peace...we had talked about how this must have been the plan Heavenly Father had. He sent my friend to watch Kadi, got me to go to the appt, and kept mom safe as she drove here. We don't know why this was happening this way but it was and we felt at ease.
We got to our room and just relaxed for several hours (they had a emergency surgery still going on). I was doing well and Teagan was as well so no one felt rushed. By 3pm we were heading to the surgery room.
Such a difference taking our time WALKING to the surgery compared to being rushed with Kadi.
I felt so goofy having my picture taken, but they don't allow cameras in the room so this is what we got.
So the surgery took ALOT longer than Kadi's delivery. Of course Kadi was in distress and Teagan was not, it was me this time.
The surgery and prep were more laid back this time with small talk and jokes. After they delivered Teagan Travis went with her and then they finished with me, and that took FOREVER!!!
They fixed my old scar and cleaned up the scar tissue from last time. It felt like an eternity before I got to see them again. They kept me in recovery a while cause my Bp was NOT going down. Eventually we were able to head to our room. Teagan was precious and nursed right away, such a champ.
She was and is the queen of grumpy faces.
Another long skinny girl!!!
Both girls have a version of my birthmark on their foreheads.
This hospital is strictly a sleep in rooms. Which means the nurses do not take the babies, there's no nursery. I am fine with that since I want my babies to nurse as much and as often as they want.
We were so blessed with wonderful friends, family, nurses and a doctor who took care of us. Mom got to Great Falls Saturday night (safely) and took Kadi from our friends the Hughes so they could play. we loved the visits we got. I missed Kadi like crazy but I enjoyed the down time before I tackled the job of mommy of two.
I love my girls!!!
