Well it is the end of another year. I still can't believe it is christmas. I am going to be working a ton before and after christmas again. I am in a little bit of a shock with how fast it has snuck up on us. I saw the snow melt at the beginnning of May and it has now returned. I would have really liked to see grass and flowers longer before the cold came again. Now I am not complaining mind you, it still is not as cold as rexburg and I am very very grateful for that.
I am very excited for the end of the year, we get to go to my parents house in California. Travis hasn't to been there since 2005, I was there last October before moving further north in Alaska.
We are really excited to be home with family and see trees and real big mountains again. I love the Sierra's it really drives me nuts not to be close to home.
We have lots of plans for that one week we will be there. We need to take Travis to San Fransisco so that he can get the full Nor Cal exprerience. I am so excited and plan on taking pictures to share with everyone.
Now I know everyone is wondering if I will still be walking on a boot. Well yes sadly enough I will. I won't have another apointment until we are back here in Des Moines and then we'll see what they say then. As of right now I am to still take it easy, walking not PT until the 27th, then once we are home who knows. I will be getting more x rays at home to see what my dad and his fellow doctor have to say.
Well that is it for my little rambling and now its time for me to get ready for the rest of my day. For all of you that will start your break soon have a safe and very merry christmas and a happy new year. We love you all and will see or talk to you all soon.

Before & After
So here are Kamala's before and after pics of the fractured fibula. I've inverted them so that you see the positive image instead of the negative. The fracture shows up well in the before, but I didn't have my camera set up as well for the after picture and the fracture part got washed out, but you get the idea. The radiologist, PA, and DO said it looks good and she can start walking on it and gradually build up the muscle and be off the boot in about 2 weeks. So she walked on it for the first time in 6 weeks to the physical therapy department to get some therabands and exercises for her rehab, and while we're waiting there, the PA comes back and says the podiatrist said she shouldn't walk on it for 2 more weeks. Needless to say, Kamala is very upset about that news. She hasn't had pain for almost 2 weeks, and she didn't have any pain walking on it today (just some tightness), and she was really excited to get rid of the crutches, and then this. She's also wondering about going with the first 3 diagnoses and ignoring the 4th. What would you do?
