Our trip back to our Ohio home

This weekend has been amazing!!!
We are so blessed to be able to make it back to Ohio this week. It was absolutely necessary to come back for our dear friends wedding.
Adam Bihn and Elizabeth (Beth) Greschner have been together for 6 yrs, 4yrs of which engaged. I have known them for most of that time. They were both a major part of our lives when we were in Dayton. Always there when we needed and supported us through all our trials.
Needless to say we consider them family.
It was a beautiful simple ceremony. Totally fitting that it was outside, and it ended perfectly as the sun set. Perfect for pictures after....I haven't uploaded the other pictures yet.
We didn't get to visit as much as we wanted during the reception so we visited the next day at the AF Museum.
Kadi LOVED chasing after Adam, looking at all the planes and just running in general.

Sunday we went to our old ward...briefly...and then went to one of our favorite Metro Parks, Germantown.
Kadi being our trail leader.
This was one of the first hikes we went on when we moved to Ohio...this valley had less growth 6 yrs ago.

I HAD to post this jewel of a photo!
Kadi would take my water bottle and figured out that her view changed...guess what so did ours!
Silly silly girl!!

Lastly it's time for a update on Little Miss Teagan.
Teagaroo turned 4 months right before we left for Ohio, growing like a weed!!!

Just some fun...

The joys of being a stay at home mom...no obligations just LOTS of down time and fun with adorable girlies!!!
We had to have a photo session...not sure Teagan was a fan at the end.

In efforts of trying to get ready for our week in Ohio I needed a hair cut, went back to dark hair with some added PURPLE!!! I enjoy being able to change up my hair so easily.

Travis' goal was to change up Kadi's bed before we left so that she would be used to a big girl bed before we left. Kadi's bed is convertible however it did not have a foot board. So Trav took the side ends and built his own foot board and frame. I can't believe my little girl is ready for her own double bed!!! She is getting so grown up!

There you have it, the end of the week for this busy home...on to the next adventure!

My Dancing Princess!

This handsome man is home with again!!! I know it wasn't a TDY like most peoples separation from their hubbys but it was rough for me. This week has gone a bit better since we have dad home in the evenings again.
Kadi is still excited he is home, daddy typically puts her to bed while I nurse and put Teagan down.
We got new pjs she had to show off.

This week has been fun for Kadi because she also got to start dance class!
I think it is important that she has something that is hers. It's tough sometimes when she has to wait to play with me since I have to nurse or change or soothe Teagan. So needless to say she was excited to have something special.
She dances CONSTANTLY!!! I love watching her during class, and she loves watching herself in the mirrors!
Last year we had class on base taught by a friend of ours. This time we are at a STUDIO, so exciting!!!
Miss Linda does so good with that many toddlers...I would totally loose my patience with those kiddos.
They have ballet...

and they learn tap...
and don't forget tumbling!!!
So fun!
I can't wait to see how she excels.

The only down side to have a busy crazy Wednesday is Teagan is pretty worn out by the end of the day.
Cranky or not I still think she's adorable!

Our first TDY

This was a tough week.
Travis had his very first TDY. He hasn't left for AF related stuff since he interviewed for residency...5 yrs ago!!
He is the chief of the Immunizations clinic so he headed to San Diego for an Immunization leadership workshop. He was gone for 4 days...so it wasn't that long.
Considering I have a crazy 3 yr old and 3 month old it was still a little daunting.
So off he went...
He left 12 hrs later then he was supposed to but when you have several offices signing orders and what not sometimes things get screwed up. No real complaints though because he still left.
He ran into one of his residents that he worked with...Katherine Pearson. She is stationed in Louisiana. Such a sweet family, hopefully we'll get to see them again sometime during our career
He had to show me where he got his authentic mexican food.
He said he it was very tasty but totally looked like a whole in the wall place.

The training was at a Naval base in San Diego. So there are cranes and ships everywhere.
He originally had a surfing lesson scheduled but with the mix up with his paperwork he had to cancel it. I felt bad for him but he still got to go to the beach...happy man.
he sent me another picture of all the seaweed he washed off after swimming in the ocean.
Totally unappealing if you ask me.

Just a few pictures he sent of the area.

So sure he wasn't gone very long but we missed him. We were very blessed to have Grandma Judy come stay with us for a couple days so that Kadi had someone to play with. It is such a blessing that we live so close to family that can come and be with us while Travis is away.
Thank you for taking care of my family.
