And Another Update...

So this is a week late but the schedule has changed a little bit.

So with the latest doctors appointment we had to change the due date by a week. It's nothing serious, just some mommy issues.

So with that said and done the due date went from the 23rd of July to the 30th. Yea I know a weeks difference really doesn't matter that much. Oh well so this is the second week as 20 weeks, oh well.

At least the baby bump has appeared!!! Yep that's right it has finally popped.

Also we finally got the results whether the little "Ebo" was a boy or girl.

It's gonna be a girl!!! Travis is totally thrilled and totally pleased that he was right. He has been sure she was a she for several weeks. No I am not telling you the name we are thinking of as of right now. BBBuuuuttt you could give me suggestions just for kicks. Just remember, this is Kamala speaking and it can't be common

Latest Ultrasound and pic

So here we are another 2 weeks into the big pregnancy.

I can't believe that we are nearing the half way point...is this really me talking?

So I have been feeling better lately, I have only thrown up twice since we have moved into the second trimester. As for the latest appointment, it went well. I was a little nervous since we were going to have nearly 100 pics done. Once again Travis was not working during the time slot so he was able to be there the whole time. We were doing a full fetal scan to double check the baby's size and the due date. Everything looked normal and we even tried to see the gender again. Once again though the little stinker would not cooporate. Travis thinks he saw something but I am not gonna say anything until we are more sure. However even though we couldn't see what the little guy is gonna be, we did get an awesome profile picture. Travis says that it is a classic textbook profile ultrasound of a baby, "perfect" he says. So that is it for this post. We are excited for the next adventure that will be entering our lives.

Latest Doctor appt and pic

So we had our latest doctors appointment this week. It was even more special because Travis actually was able to be there. He had to work during the first appointment when we first saw an ultrasound. So I had Travis next to me as we heard the heartbeat for the first time. It's kinda crazy/creepy/special to hear. Our doctor even did another ultrasound just for Trav. We tried to see what the little guy was (gender wise) but it didn't want to cooperate. We are having another one done soon so I might post it. As for everything else we both the baby and I are healthy. I have enjoyed a nausea free couple of weeks but still am peeing like crazy, totally stuffy, and tired. Well I will keep you all posted. See ya in a couple weeks.

Prego Update

Ok ok I fixed it. You can't get mad at me it was all Travis' dumb laptop. I normally wouldn't use it but it is in the living room and I can be comfy while I work on things. Ah well so here are the pics...

I honestly can't complain too much about how I have been feeling. I have only puked a handful of times. The only triggers seem to be eggs and the occasional tomato based meal. Of course my migraines are a curse. They don't help keeping my stomach calm.

As for everything else I am just tired and those of you that know me really well know that I hate taking it too easy. Other than that my chest is the only thing changing. Ah well like I said I can't complain too much, we are just glad to have such a miracle.

So let me know if you can tell any difference in the pics...cause we can't.

Ok...here's the deal!

So I know I said I was going to do a massive catch up well guess what? Life happened!

So I have been so busy with lessons and Travis has of course been crazy busy with hospital stuff. So your gonna have to forgive me.
Well so here we go.... So the end of 2011 brought

· the end of Med School
· Amelia visiting for 2 months helping at the barn
· Inlaws visiting after graduation
· Residency starting
· Mom coming for Amelia and staying for the Air Show
· Lots more lessons starting up
· Slowly settling in and finally unpacking more into our new home
· trip to Louisville KY for boards and churchill downs
· Thanksgiving and Halloween in an actual house!
· Christmas in Cali!!!

So with the start of 2012 well finds us with new adventures. Okay I am just going to come out with it. So we have news...We are expecting!!! Yes and not our normal pet or other way of expecting. We are actually PREGNANT!!! We found out right before Thanksgiving and told Travis' family then. And then we waited to tell my family until we were home. It was hard to keep the secret from family but was well worth the wait. I really was not up to sharing the news with friends until I had had my first doctors appointment. Those of you that know our whole story understand how I feel. I am not going to type out all the details, so if you TRULY want to know you can message/email/call me. So we are very excited and very blessed. I will try a little harder to keep everyone updated. Just keep in mind that I am still in my first trimester....and things are not easy. Much love to all and I will be back later.

Finally.... Our Own Private Vacation!!!

I know it has been a while since I said I would catch everyone up.

I will start at the begining of insane summer.

We had the amazing opportunity to go to Florida for 10 days on our own. After moving from the apartment to the house we packed up and headed down south.

We stayed in a fun little condo that is part of the Military Travel club. We get a discounted rates for hotels/resorts. Kinda like a time share.

So once we got settled in our lovely little condo we headed to the coast to enjoy some kayaking and the ocean. We had found a tour company that took you out and showed you the area and told you info. We love kayaking and it was probably Trav's favorite thing we did.

So once that fun was over then it was my turn. I convinced Travis to take me to Medeval Times dinner and show. You know me and that I am obsessed with horses so we gotta do something with them. It was an awesome show and great that we were able to see the show together. This location is kinda special with the Medeval Times franchise. They have a medeval village with several historical displays. So needless to say we had a blast and even learned a gew things. They even announced our names as celebrating our anniversary (2 months early).

The next day we headed off to our next adventure. We started our park seeing trip by heading off to Universal Studios. We had a blast exploring the sights and enjoying the rides. We loved the Harry Potter section. It was amazing how much they made it look like the movie. The whole park was tons of fun and totally wiped us out.

The next day we started our Disney park spread. We started at Epcot. We love this park since we there are so many different countries to visit. We love discovering new foods and exploring the history of other countries. It was beautiful cause they were having a garden festival so there were sculptures all over the park of different characters. They were all made from plants, it was amazing. So after exploring this park and watching it's incredible firework show we headed off.

We next visited Disney's Hollywood Studios, or MGM. I would have to say that this is one of our favorite parks. It has everything that we love, rollercoasters, movie facts and awesome stunt shows. The best ride out of the whole park is Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollercoaster. We rod them each at least 6-7 times. It was awesome! We even came back another day for their fireworks and rode bothe rides several more times, yep we're crazy!!!

The last 2 parks, Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom seem like such blurs. We spent full days at these two and saw tons of things. Animal Kingdom is another favorite, duh. Of course we went on the safari and went on the rollercoasters several times. Magic Kingdom on the other had is really not that magical with out kids. We have the most fun in the Adventureland, with the pirates and all. But other than that it just is not that fun as adults. The firework show at Magic Kingdom is still moving.

I loved this trip and I hope we can go again soon. I will post pics as soon as I can. Otherwise enjoy the stories.

Massive Catching up

I will be posting what has happened to our lovely family in a day or two. Not sure how many people continually look at our blog, but I didn't want you to think we fell off the face of the earth. So please be patient with me :)
